Thank you for setting aside some of your time to connect with us through your lives. I truly appreciate each one of them. Thank you for sharing your journey and reflections with us.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year filled with love, peace, and happiness. May all your dreams come true in alignment with God’s plans.
Graham…Love your walk on the farm. I walked there at the Farewell and Laurie took my picture under stone arch. It’s beautiful and even more beautiful with the snow in the background. Your message about talking to yourself has always been a tool I use to process a situation that is either stressful or challenging. So often what I find is that when I’ve finished the discussion with me, I most of the time feel immediate relief…or I arrive at a solution that I would have otherwise not considered. It’s was a practice throughout my career and I use it so often today in retirement. And I do beat up on myself in many instances but in the end I conclude that I’m not so bad.😂As far as Riverside vs Zoom, Zoom has always been a distraction to me with all the faces on the screen…I lose focus on the impactful messages. So Riverside I think is a better alternative but as Irene noted, it would be so helpful if it was available on mobile devices. I most always use my iPad. Thanks for the winter walk…sorry I missed the live.
Re having a convo with your inner child - that's exactly what happens in Psychodrama - alongside your therapist you set out seats to represent different aspects of yourself or others who are not/ or are unable to be present (ie have passed away) then you move seats and speak as those aspects/people. It is an extremely effective therapy for those who are struggling to get in touch with their true feelings about a difficult situation. I trained in Psychodrama and creative arts therapy and saw amazing results. Worked for me too.
Good morning Graham . The rustling sounds of walking and the blue sky go together. What I need is a translation .Please be sure to take care of your health .🙏🌞☕
I have just now been able to watch your Winter Walk video. I had a total knee surgery early in December and am just now able to catch up on many episodes of your chats and podcasts. I'm thrilled that both stay up for awhile so I can watch them now. I hope your Winter is going smoothly and you are getting much needed snow cover. We have had very little Winter type precipitation and could use some White stuff covering on the ground here in Western Nebraska.
The next holiday is the New Year.
Here in the States we are anticipating a new President and hopefully a greater economy for our nation and the world.
Continued blessings to you and all the people who help you connect to your beloved and adoring fans.
Graham, I really enjoyed this chat and the beauty of the farm, it's so peaceful out there. I like the idea of having a conversation with myself that is compassionate as I am often critical of myself instead. I hope you had a nice Christmas and I wish you all the best in 2025, and I hope to meet up with you sometime!
Thanks for a nice walk and talk. I appreciate you considering the Zoom-only users (aka mobile users) for Founder's chats and other lives. More people can participate via Zoom. Re: chatting with our younger selves - Lord knows it would have been helpful for little Dia to know everything would be okay. I should probably tell her that more often! :-)
It has helped me so much to sit and chat with my younger self. Graham, I took your advice a year ago as you mentioned that this was something you discovered helped you sort things out. That younger me was waiting for older me to finally get my act together and have a chat . So now I make sure we visit often. As memories come up I'm quick to call on her and discuss how I see it now and she, as she saw it then. It has been so healing. I am understanding now that my spirit signed up for the life I have, as I'm reading a book called RADICAL FORGIVENESS. If you haven't read it, I would recommend it...although knowing your reading addiction, you may have already devoured it!
So yes! I'm so thankful for this advice as I've progressed so much and find myself being thankful for my past instead of victimized by it. I love my life!...All of it!
Interesting conversation. I talk to myself a lot to set my mind on the right path. It helps to make peace with what is happening in my life. As usual I never got a notice about the walk. I really wonder why. I like the zoom meet ups so I can see peoples reaction to the conversations. I belong to the western gals, the book club and the GIMs. No longer a founding member as you priced me out of the fees as mine is in Canadian $$. Too bad, so sad. I journal every day even if it is only a few words. I wish you all the very best for 2025 and may all your wishes come to fruition. Blessings.
Loved this, Graham. I make a practice of sitting with myself a little bit everyday, but the idea of sitting with the part of myself experiencing a challenge is so great. In addition to the perspective, what a way to remind ourselves that we are not our challenges or negative experiences; they are something we can sit beside, have compassion for and learn from. Kudos to your young self for tuning in!
I love that outlook or perspective of being present. If we can stay in the here and now we will be able to keep anxiety at bay. Not easy but necessary. Walks are helpful and for me on the beach is ideal but any nature walk is best! And I love to watch my German Shepard (Allie) waddle back in forth as she’s in the present joyful moment as we walk! Blessings in the new year! 🙏🎊
Good evening Graham hoping you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. I missed the live so I’m very happy you did the replay. I’ll have to try your suggestion about sitting with yourself and talking. I do find myself talking to myself though not in the way of caring and loving. I do journal but it’s a gratitude journal. I write in it pretty much every day I write how thankful I am for what God has given me even my struggles. I look at how it makes me grow in my faith and to stay strong. I as well love to walk but it’s been raining the last few days and it makes it hard to walk outside. I also like the Riverside because of the clarity. Though to I like the Zoom because it’s more of a community that way. I love where you did your walk at the Saskatoon Berry Farm. It is so beautiful there. Hoping you enjoyed the rest of your walk even though it was only to your car. Take care and we will see you on the founders chat on. Sunday.
Thank you, graham so much, for getting the replay of your live out. I didn't get to see the after party either live.So i'm looking forward to the replay of that. I heard from so many that it was so good and I am so anxious to see it. Some great content in this live graham.I enjoyed listening. I have to admit I am one who preferred zoom. I liked it because it was nice to see everybody. Nice to put faces to the names. Always pros and cons to things. Whatever you do is fine with me, I just enjoy being able to see you. ????Graham, do you have any new podcast in preparation? Hope you had a Great Christmas, and Happy New Year!!! Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with us.❤️❤️❤️
