I was so looking forward to this all day. I’m almost speechless right now. This was so real. You can really see how much you both LOVE life and people. You’re both genuine and that says so much. Thank you Donny Mac for your words of encouragement. They were felt! I can truly agree with Donny Mac if it were not for my faith in Jesus Christ, I would be lost! I hope to use this to encourage others as we all walk through this crazy thing we call life! Thank you Graham for all you do and give to others!
Graham…the timing of this podcast was perfect…the beginning of the season of Lent …Donny’s testimony of his faith and love for Christ … and the playing of his song HOME. I listened to the podcast twice and each time my heart was about to explode with a desire to love more…my eyes filled with tears throughout. I have read the lyrics of HOME to really understand the song’s real meaning. The words touched me in such a powerful way. “I just gotta see the Son…take me home when my time has finally come…I’ve been trying to find a saviour…now in Jesus I belong…don’t need a round of applause, take me home…Take me home.” This is so beautiful to me especially since I’m at the age of 75 and am so grateful to Christ who has been a part of me throughout my journey of life. The lyrics of HOME remind me of the times when my journey in life has been heavily burdened with sorrow and stress and I would read the poem FOOTPRINTS IN THE SANDS…I have relied on this poem many times to get me through troublesome times. Donny was so brave to share his testimony. He spoke deeply from within his heart. It takes faith and comfort with yourself to share such a story. I like the idea of prayer walks or walk in the forest you both shared…a perfect way to sort out life struggles. The picture Donny described at the end and what he was feeling was like a huge thump in my heart as it reminded me of my grand children at a young age who would reach out for me to lift them…what a warm and loving feeling that came over me during those times when I could lift them…hold them close…and love them so much unconditionally…times that I miss today as they are teenagers. Graham again the theme of love permeated throughout this entire podcast but I believe in a much deeper way as you and Donny interacted about several stories of love and about your faith. The conversations between you both were so natural to me and clearly demonstrated pure genuineness of faith and love…a love and faith that I could feel. Thank you. And Graham I want to thank you for what you have done for me personally in such a short time through all that you do. You have such an impactful way of articulating your love for life and love for all and your love has affected my life today and that love will help me in my journey in the days ahead.🙏
I loved it ,Don & his story of what he went through .Don’s description of the magic painting got to me it hit me straight in the heart , made me cry.I love that Kerry did the editing for you he did a great job well done!. I think it was one of your best episodes but I guess I say that every time 😁 We heard some awesome songs as well! Thanks Graham 🙏💙
Graham first of all I would like to say your intro to the podcast is definitely mesmerizing, and what an amazing podcast it was Graham very authentic and touching!! I absolutely love Donny Mac’s music its so authentic and filled with love from the heart, and I especially love his song “Home” it’s absolutely touching, and brought tears to my eyes!!
I also loved Donny Mac’s response to the Magic Painting question just the thought of the true innocence that children have, and the reaching of a hand that connects you back to the true child within yourself!! Children are truly the love and light within us all!!
I would also like to send a shout out to Kerry for the amazing editing job he did for your podcast Graham!! I think the two of you are very creative, and were truly meant to work together, and who knows this could possibly be a start of something big for you both!!❤️
I just now am able to compose myself to write here about last night's podcast. It touched my soul. Last night I went to church. But it was not the church I was accustomed to. It was simply being in the presence of God...on a podcast no less!
Donny's magic painting was the same as mine. I always imagined a woman bending down to a little girl and holding a small wildflower between them. It was then I knew I was in a place I hadn't been before. The tears started flowing and didn't stop for hours.
Thank you Graham and Donny for opening your hearts to us so we could come in and share that love❤🙏
It was the best podcast and will be the most memorable one for me.
Graham, I was looking forward to this podcast!!! It touched my heart in a very mighty way!!! I was in Awwww!!! It was so moving and it brought tears to my eyes!!! WOW!!! I LOVE IT ALL!!!! Donny talked about his faith in the Lord and that moved me to tears. The answer to the magic painting really got to me!!! So inspiring and uplifting!!!! Graham it was like a scene out of the Bible where Jesus is sharing his love and compassion to people everywhere. And that made me feel so unworthy because I don't do that enough!!!! So I prayed and ask Jesus to forgive me!!! I am gonna start showing more love and compassion. Because we are suppose to be like Jesus and that is what he does. It opened my eyes and my heart.
I also loved the part about the prayer walk. I want you to know that I love nature and I love to be outside enjoying what the Lord has given us!! I have done many prayer walks and prayed over my home, family and even the school. Thank you Graham and Donny for such a moving podcast!! I love all the songs that was shared!!! God bless you both in a great way!!! Love you Graham!!!! ❤😊🥰
Wow Graham this episode is so powerful and touching. Love is the answer !! Weren't you freezing out there?!why did you decided to film in location and not at home or in the Battle van? Not that i'm complaining....keep doing your great job ♥️
Wow, this was a great episode. The heartfelt emotion of friendship between the two of you was seen and felt. Thank you Donny for sharing your journey and being so transparent and honest about your life and how you found your faith. I loved your description of your magic painting-every child does need an adult to be lifting them up and as a teacher I know it is not always a parent who does the lifting. Sometimes it artists like you and Graham, a teacher, or a song or poem. This was very moving and inspirational. Thank you.

A very moving and insightful episode. One which I am sure many people could identify with the need to be loved and to learn how to love others.
